Submission Guidelines

Authors are encouraged to carefully review the Author Guidelines and Submission Guidelines before submitting. Manuscripts must adhere to international standards of transparency, ethical conduct, and reporting quality.

  • Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with ICMJE recommendations.
  • Figures must include descriptive captions and high-resolution formats.
  • Data sharing statements are encouraged for transparency.
  • Ethics approvals must be clearly stated for clinical and animal research.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there publication charges?

Yes, an Article Processing Charge (APC) applies. Waivers are available for authors from low-income countries.

Can I submit previously published work?

No, HOR only accepts original, unpublished work not under consideration elsewhere.

What file formats are accepted?

Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) is preferred. Figures can be uploaded in TIFF, JPEG, or PNG.

Do you allow preprint submissions?

Yes, HOR allows submissions previously posted on recognized preprint servers, provided disclosure is made at submission.
